Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of the job burnout among academic staff at Economic faculty, University of Benghazi. Descriptive approach has been used in the study, and the study used (Maslach) scale for measuring the job burnouts’ dimensions (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment). The population of the study reached (195) person, and the proportioned stratified random sample selected was (130). The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results showed that the availability of a medium level of the job burnout, and that is medium availability of emotional exhaustion, low level of depersonalization and high level of personal accomplishment. The results showed there was no significant differences in the opinions of the study sample members towards the job burnout and its dimensions due to gender, age, education level, experience. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the opinions of the study sample members towards the emotional exhaustion to social status. The study presented a set of recommendations that are expected pay attention to the level of the job burnout among academic staff at Economic faculty
