The journal's plagiarism or quotation policy
Journal Plagiarism Policy:
The Economic Horizons Journal is committed to publishing only original research and adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics. Plagiarism, in all its forms, is a serious ethical violation and is strictly prohibited. Our policy is designed to ensure the integrity of the academic record and protect the rights of original authors.
Plagiarism Detection: All manuscripts submitted to the Economic Perspectives journal are rigorously checked for plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection software.
Acceptance Criteria: A manuscript will only be considered for review if its overall Turnitin similarity index is less than 30%. The editorial team will carefully review the Turnitin report, focusing on the quality of the matches, the cited sources, and the distribution of similarities.
A low overall percentage does not guarantee automatic acceptance, especially if certain sections show a high degree of similarity to a single source.
Consequences of plagiarism: Any form of plagiarism detected at any stage of the submission or publication process will result in the following decisions:
• Immediate rejection of the manuscript.
• Prohibition of future manuscript submissions to the journal.
• Notification of the author's affiliated institution.
• In the case of published articles, the journal reserves the right to retract the article and issue a formal retraction statement.
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and providing proper citations for all sources. We strongly encourage authors to use citation management tools and carefully review their manuscripts for any unintentional plagiarism before submission.
