Abstract

This study aimed to identify the level of its variables, namely human capital and strategic performance, at Elmergib University. It also aimed to analyze the relationship and impact between the dimensions of human capital (investment in education and training, investment in knowledge, and investment in participation and empowerment) and the strategic performance of the university. To achieve these objectives, the descriptive-analytical approach was adopted as the most suitable methodology. The study sample consisted of (319) faculty members from Al-Marqab University. A questionnaire was designed and distributed to the target sample, yielding (312) responses that matched the study's questions. The study employed appropriate statistical methods and tested its hypotheses using multiple regression analysis. The study's findings included several key results, the most important of which was that the level of investment in human capital at the university was relatively high, indicating some awareness among senior management of the importance of human resources in achieving the university's strategic goals. The results also showed that the level of strategic performance at the university was low, indicating a deficiency in the university's ability to achieve its objectives. The study also found that there is a statistically significant impact of the dimensions of investment in human capital as independent variables on strategic performance as a dependent variable.
