Measuring the asymmetric effect of foreign trade with European Union on economic growth in Libya
during the period (1993 – 2023) using the NAR DL methodology

This study aimed to measure the asymmetric effect of foreign trade with the European Union on economic growth in Libya during the period (1993-2023). Using non-liner autoregressive distributed lag model. The results of the unit root tests indicated that the time series are stationary at first difference. The results of bounds test co-integration showed a long-run equilibrium relationship between the study variables; in addition, positive and negative changes in foreign trade with European have asymmetric effect on economic growth in Libya.
