The Impact of Participatory Leadership Practices in Achieving Administrative Empowerment at the University of Sirte

This study aimed to identify the impact of participatory leadership in achieving administrative empowerment in Sirte University, and determining the effect between variables. The study followed the analytical descriptive approach, and the study population was represented in all workers (110). To achieve the goal of this study, a questionnaire was designed, and (110) questionnaires were distributed of which (84) were found valid for analysis accounting for (76.3%). Moreover, SPSS program was used in the processing and analysis of study data. The results indicated that the level of availability of the dimensions of the participative leadership came to a high degree (3.866), and the level of achieving administrative empowerment also came to a medium degree (3.235), The results showed there is a statistically significant relationship between the reality of the practice of participative leadership in its dimensions: (participation in decision-making, delegation of powers, participation in planning, human relations), and the level of administrative empowerment of employees at Sirte University. The study also found: the existence of a significant effect between the reality of the practice of participative leadership in its dimensions and the level of administrative empowerment of employees at Sirte University. The research recommends that urging the administrative leaders within the University of Sirte to apply the concept of participatory leadership because of its positive effects on making employees more willing to perform the tasks assigned to them.
