Abstract

The researcher in this research tried to determine the nature of civil society in the Arab world and the influence of Islam on the civil society, it has been determined the historical development of civil society in general, Arab civil society in particular, determine the characteristics which is characterized by the Arab community and the civil society components. As well as determine the concept of civil society, according to many of the intellectual and ideological beliefs. In addition the research discussed the political influence of Islam through the civil society in the Arab world, and he found that the civil society in the Arab world is suffering from a lot of challenges, which are the political anarchy, the weakness of the political regimes, and cases of the split in the Arab societies, as well as financing difficulties of these communities and institutions, and the Islam is considered as an essential element in determining the societal values of the Arab world, including the political values and determine the Arab civil society.
